Speaker positioning: why do audiophiles neglect this so much?
@bobbydd  You didn’t strike a nerve, some people forget it’s a stereo hobbyist forum.
New Power Cable on a 1990 Hafler DH120?
@wlp3    Sorry you were surprised with some of the responses. I think most of it is due to extra tight underwear. Or, possibly a lack of naps.

Inexpensive speaker cables: any experience?
Wire wound and tie with ends. Sound like can with string, like walk talkie. Magic word like I don’t know not part from lip, truth not be in them like fisherman, and breath smell of strong drink.   Long answer,  nobody know until tie on radio.

FYI, I have an older Mirage 10” sub the size of a small steamer trunk and a Svs Sound Cylinder 12”. They are just too large to tuck away. I use the larger subs in a home theater room. That may be another reason a compact sub is appealing.   Agai...
Svs, Rel, or ?.
The good reports regarding the Rythmik subs make me second guess. The cons are the size and expense of the Rythmiks F12se vs the 3000 micro. I’d planned to put a sub behind each main and I like the compact size of the micros.    I went with wirel...

My stuff is so rookie. One day I hope I can graduate into the big leagues where I can call other’s gear rookie.
