Anyone Seen a Feb 2022 Stereophile Issue??
Got mine on the 9th.
Turntable isolation platform Recommendations?
Hey @chakster , loathe not the haters. I run a 301 oil, Ortofon TA 210, VAS modified 103r, but am still a huge direct drive fan. I refuse to sell my 1200 mkll, and my dream DD table is still a completely restored PD 444. I guess I would also settl...
Power cord choice?
I saw this thread a little late. I recently picked up two Shunyata Venom 3 power cables on the used market to pair with PSE Studio V Monoblocks. Really tightened up the bottom end and opened up the soundstage. I know it's some of Shunyata's older ...
Do You Ever Find Yourself Unable to Listen To Your System?
I've read that when you don't find joy in the the things that have always made you feel happy in the past, you may be suffering from depression. My thought is that what you're going through  may be larger than your hi-fi system concerns.
Lack of popularity of Chord???
British product not well represented or marketed here in the US, plus very pricey equals not as much interest as the brand probably deserves. Naim comes to mind also.

Old Amps that can still Kick Butt
Adcom 535 ll. Nelson Pass design. Picked it up at the local flea for $40 and invested $100 to get it in top shape. Won't ever get rid of it, will always be my backup. Typical Nelson Pass detail and transparency. Specs state 40 watts/channel but li...
Tonearm sugestion
Don't get rid of that TT, one of the greatest direct drives made, no matter what some tired out of the loop member posts. You will need a nine inch arm and there are plenty of options out there. I would prefer a PD 444 which handles a 12 inch arm ...
Most organic / real / analogue sounding DAC (ideally with Volume Control) for $1500??????
I probably have to agree with 3 easy on this one. Chord and Benchmark are two of my go to brands. I'd love to spring for a dCS system but can't swing it right now financially.
Best route to go for new dac?
Anything by Benchmark. I run their original dac 1 fed by an Oppo 103  and it sounds great. They got their start in professional studios so the sound is very transparent, if that is what your looking for. Also, great value.
I am frustrated with the sound from my DAC
Buy yourself a benchmark DAC 1 for 400 -500 dollars on the used market and see where that takes you. You can run your CD player through that as a transport provided you have either optical or BNC digital outs. I find their products to be transpare...
MQA and classical music
Does your DAC support and render MQA ?
