MHDT Orchid or Audio Mirror/ pick one for me please
I have professionally reviewed both Dacs (The Orchid for Six Moons the Tubadour SE III for Stereo Times) and own both of them. If you want to discuss this with me, just shoot me a message and I'll get back to you.
If you love big electrostatic panels, but have a small acoustic space-a speaker for you!
Hey speedbump6,Congrats! I think you are in for a treat. How big is your acoustic space and what is your upstream gear?

Hey snapsc,These speakers were placed in my upstairs system, if you go to Six Moons website and look in the archives for my review on the Perfect Set speakers there is a picture of the space, which is a type of second floor balcony with no back wa...

I have gotten a lot of Emails that are asking very technical questions about the back horn loading. I would suggest you contact Morris who is the designer/builder and will be able to answer these questions much more skillfully then me.
Rockna Wavelight thoughts?
Hey milpai,Just last night I submitted my review to my editor on the Wavelight. Hopefully, it will go up on the Stereo Times website in the next couple of weeks.
Pass XA 25 versus Parasound A21+ - anyone compare?
I know that this comparison will sound harsh, but the Parasound A21 sounds like "grains of dry sand on a flat sheet" and the Pass Labs XA-25 sounds like "a beautiful flowing stream which allows all the colors of instruments to shine through from a...

Hey smodtactical,Yes, I have purchased the # 16 for my reference system.  If you think the Pass Labs is well built, and it is, take a look at the parts/ boards/ caps in the Coda #8 you might be surprised.
Aric Audio's Motherlode II line-stage keep me up all last night
Hey Laaudionote,Your Motherlode is still a great preamplifier! You should give Aric a call so he can share with you what he has discovered to improve the overall performance of the ML to the ML II. Possibly, he could upgrade yours to the present g...
Aric Audio's Motherlode II line-stage keep me up all last night
Spent another 15 to 20 hours listening to the ML II preamplifier this weekend. My cursory take on it has just being totally reaffirmed. As quiet as any Solid State line-stage I have ever had in-house. It rivals the speed and slam of my David Berni...

Hey smodtactical,Well, everyone’s entitled to their opinion. I had the Kinki piece in for review, actually quite good for the $, and it was not as good as the Coda CSIb for my ears in my system. Also, remember OCD was at that time selling the Kink...

"How big is the gap in performance between the #16 and the #8"Enough that everyone, including me, heard it very easily. Respectfully, many of your questions were answered in my Stereo Times review, along with the posters on this thread and the #16...

Hey smodtactical,Very, very close in performance with the XA-60.8s. The #16 surpasses both its less expensive sibling and the Pass Labs amplifiers.
Aric Audio's Motherlode II line-stage keep me up all last night
Sorry guys,For my typo in the title, it should be kept not keep! For some reason I could not correct it after the thread went up. But, I did share that I got very little sleep last night, so that's my excuse!
The Audio Alto R101 : A special speaker for SET amplifiers and small acoustic spaces
Hey atmasphere and timlub,Normally, I would agree with both of you regarding having to have a higher sensitivity for a speaker to really have a SET amplifier "shine" in it’s performance. However, when I ran the experiment in a medium sized acousti...
