@curiousjim  I've never been a big P. Metheny fan, but "Bright Sized Life" is one I continue to enjoy.  "Like Minds" is another:   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M6epTSAq0s4&list=PLu-6Kqh1DAHM7KuyLp3k7kG85TwPzY9Jq

@rpeluso  Nothing wrong with giving an opinion. Musical taste is, by definition, highly subjective.  Perhaps you'd like either of the duo recordings Tony Bennet did with Bill Evans. Perhaps not. I'm a big Jazz fan but there are definitely Jazz a...

@rok2id  Exactly.

Two of my favorite S. Fortune recordings:  1) "Alto Memories" co-led with Gary Bartz: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dejJchJRhs0 2) "From Now On": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DXWG4DdNkuM
OCD mickey website and negativity.
I had some interactions with him when shopping for a DAC. He sent me a Metrum Pavanne and a COS (don’t recall the model). I didn’t end up buying either one but I’d have no reservations approaching him again. We got into some deep e mail discussion...
recommend PRAT Integrated amplifiers (not Naim)
@audiocanada  I'm mystified by your assertion about Hegel. My H390 has PRaT in spades. It's one of its most evident attributes.
2024 Audio System Wish List
Upgrade digital coax and AC cables. Possibly a power conditioner.
Anyone have experience with using de-esser for sibilance in home audio system?
@clustrocasual  Finally realized it's just moving in and out of consciousness over long periods of time. Interesting. And to what do you attribute this movement?
Anyone have experience with using de-esser for sibilance in home audio system?
@clustrocasual  It has to do with where our brain puts attention on stimulus. It can be rearranged in priority and sensation. This makes sense. I've come across a few comments by guys who've said once they became aware of sibilance, they could...
Anyone have experience with using de-esser for sibilance in home audio system?
@clustrocasual  I'm curious -- how might neurofeedback address perception of sibilance? Yes; I’m aware the TMR is a Weiss dealer. I can’t afford that dac currently but I may indeed end up trying it down the road. @raindance That must be very ...

@curiousjim  Fortunately, Burrell's discography is quite extensive, so you should be able to find plenty of tasty offerings...
Anyone have experience with using de-esser for sibilance in home audio system?
@mammothguy54 , @mashif  Thanks for the links! @antigrunge2  My dac has no volume control...
Anyone have experience with using de-esser for sibilance in home audio system?
@mammothguy54  I had no idea portable panels were available.  @mashif  No; sibilance doesn't change. In fact, I can stand right next to speaker and hear sibilance as easily as when I'm in the listening chair.  I will try the "just above ears" ...
Anyone have experience with using de-esser for sibilance in home audio system?
@mammothguy54 Thanks for the suggestion. Panels are not an option in my listening area. @audiorusty Thanks for your comprehensive response. At times, I do hear a slight hissing and have so for decades but I hear no sibilance when people speak...
Anyone have experience with using de-esser for sibilance in home audio system?
@asvjerry My best, and best for the prognosis....Jerry. Thanks! @clustrocasual Weiss makes a DAC with a de-esser in it. Yes; I’m aware of this but based upon reviews, I’m not convinced I’d enjoy its presentation -- not organic enough, I...
