It is all about what you like but horn speakers do need to be in a damped room to perform at their best and horns will also play all types of music well with low distortion but if the dali sounds better to you by all means go for it and enjoy the ...

AUDIO RESEARCH VS VTL
They are both long established brands but i would say audio research before the founder left twenty years ago would be the best choice but now it is a toss up for sure, but both are great companies and i can say that audio research offers upgrades...
Why have capacitors improved so much over the years?
Capacitors have improved in certain ways due to designers looking and wanting a different type of sound than previous versions. The change in sound is due to using different materials and construction. I can say that the early capacitors due not s...
Mix and match subs?
It is better that the subs match for proper integration with music due to tonal and sound pressure variations due to driver and cabinet size which effect the sound greatly.
My battle with sibilance.
There is a lot of siblance on a lot of recordings for sure but on the men at work album particularly especially the opening verse of who can it be now and you hear it more on the vinyl than streaming because a good vinyl setup does not hide the fl...
Reasonably sensitive speakers for tube amps, max $2k/pair, new or used
You need to find a vintage 16 ohm american speaker made prior to 1965 to experience low power tube equipment properly and when you hear one you will never go back to new speakers on any music.
Accuphase e800 or luxman m900u for sonus faber olympica nova 3
Accuphase or Luxman is a good choice but you already have good equipment i would look more towards a speaker upgrade which will matter a lot more than the amp upgrade in your case.
PS audio new 25K dac and the psychological effect of owning a company's best.
If you already have their previous best effort and you are happy with it why upgrade a lot of the top tier gear is just for bragging rights about how much money you spent on it, it is not about getting better sound.
$2000.00 to spend on new speakers.
I would go for the small british monitor because you have the two subs and it will mesh with the subs well and give you a better tonality than the klipsch a good example would be a used spendor or rogers or harbeth ls3/5a derivative.
Help with Shortlist of Speakers! (SF vs Devore vs Others?)
You will always hear the story too big for your space a lot but in fact a big speaker does not have to work as hard as a little one so they will sound much less strained in volume and in the bass range than a small speaker so i say buy the speaker...
CD Quality Versus Streaming Quality
CD players are better than streamers for sure no contest especially on a speaker designed to handle their dynamics because almost all of today's speakers are not good enough to handle the cd at all they will compress it too much so i agree totally...
Lack of Lamm customer service?
I think a lot of that has to do with the dealer involved or with the companies being backordered for so many months right now.
FEX EX Damaged New Legacy's

McIntosh- Sweetest, Smoothest sounding Solid State ?
Macintosh has their own sound due to the use of their autoformers, so you either love that sound or want something else, and i am one to want or like something else.
