Salk Future TBD
Bummer and a big loss to the community. I had the honor of the being the caretaker for a week of the Chen Chen veneered Song3 Beats @jeffseight  secured for the AZ SpeakerFest. They were lovely speakers; almost bought a pair myself. I hope Salk is...
Bang for the buck
Philharmonic BMR are really high value in my opinion. Hard to find used but come in under budget new so…
Has anyone lost a KEF tweeter?
Ask Kef if they will replace the uni-q. Or if out of warranty sell you one. The way these things are constructed, if the tweeter is gone, it will be very hard to replace just that part. When folks have blown their uni-q drivers on the q series or ...
Bookshelf speakers that renders 3D soundstage
@avanti1960, if the Falcon Q7 is anything like the Falcon LS3/5a; they should be very close. Then, I agree that speaker would be one to audition as well. Thing is, it does not have the bass requirement OP is looking for. Wanting 45 hz -3db is tric...
Bookshelf speakers that renders 3D soundstage
@lanx0003 sounds like a plan. I have heard both speakers. IMHO the BMR crushes the S400 which is a competnet but kind of boring speaker. Our club just did a standmount speaker event with 17 speakers under $3k. Among them were the BMR, S400, Falcon...

Bass is room dependent. The evos are already a pretty large standmount with good extension. There are not many standmounts known for going low. I would consider adding a sub if that is a requirement since you have the rest of what you are seeking ...
Speaker Art
I heard about them from another enthusiast in the Sacramento area who sang their praises; Super Clefs. Later I moved to Morro Bay and meant to check him out but never got around to it. Now he’s gone and I’m a state over. Missed opportunity.
Suggest your most desired MSRP $1,500-$3,000 Stand Mount for a Shootout.
@kokakolia, I’m going to leave this here for you:   Kevin is a major US Focal dealer. The speaker he is speaking about was the entry level a couple of years ago before being replaced with the Chora line. He literally says it’s made in France...
Suggest your most desired MSRP $1,500-$3,000 Stand Mount for a Shootout.
@kokakolia, Sonus Faber is made in Italy, Focals are made in France; they make all their own drivers and some for other manufacturers (like Wilson). Tekton Design, sources drivers from all over but many of their woofers are made in the USA by Emin...

The event was yesterday and a great success. If you visit the www.azavclub.com website you will see the speakers we had there. Some were made in Asia but many were not…ATC, Falcon Acoustics, Tekton Design, Speakerlab, Philharmonic, Sonus Faber, Bu...
SpeakerFest 2022 Scheduled for Saturday August 27th 10am-4pm Fountain Hills, Arizona
Thanks for the notice! Can't wait to attend this event. It should be a great time.
Any good audio stores in Scottsdale?
Acoustic Design Group off 78th and Frank Lloyd Wright. Numerous listening rooms and lots of great gear; Focal Grand Utopias. Ask for Don he is very helpful.
OK, so seriously, what is up with TMR's pricing here??
Must be using some kind of algorithm that doesn’t round up or down to “charm” pricing. The psychology around ending price points is a topic unto itself.
No frills speaker manufacturers
Tekton Design to your first question. To your second question, I’d probably buy something from Focal, Sonus Faber, or Wilson. I’ve owned two pairs of Tektons and I likely won’t buy another pair because, to me, looks do matter. I’ve liked the sound...
SS with meters
Coda, classe, and SAE come to mind. Pass and D’Agostino too. What is your budget and what do you consider a large company? None of these I would consider large compared to a typical CE company. I think the classe and sae amps are digital meters if...
