Building high-end 'tables cheap at Home Despot II
G'day FolksI don't get this rumble business. Even when I played my totally unmodified L78 after it lay in the garage collecting dust for years and with no oil in the bearing the rumble was not that bad, far less objectionable than the earth loop h...

I'm actually only concerned with the first couple of watts as I very rarely turn things up at all and I can use a transistor amp for that if I wanted. The system is set up to provide as much resolution at low level as possible. The room is not big...

Hi Folksprogress shots of my lenco build up posted on Lenco MultiArm Plinth 2 under all out assault. the category seems appropriate now as my body feels like its been assaulted by the rigours of this torturous build. straight lines good, curves pa...

Tbg unfortunately i haven't heard the 211 valve as they aren't exactly thick on the ground in aust. very keen to do so nevertheless. there does seem to be a bit of effort to make really good new 845s (KR, SuperTNT 845M) and it bugs me to cough up ...

Consonance Cyber 800/845 Valve amps; how good?
bartokfan i was referring to the cyber 800s if you need plenty of power. they seemed to be unflappable to beyond volumes i can bear or enjoy. the 300b is pretty much acknowledged as the finest triode and i have to agree overall even though i prefe...
Consonance Cyber 800/845 Valve amps; how good?
i've just tested the 800s and 845s in my home and was quite stunned at their quality. these amps whilst still not cheap are not at all expensive in hifi terms here in australia. the aust. importer does not hold stock of the 211 so i can't comment ...
