Preferred Node 2i and Ayre CDP connections to Soekris 2541 DAC?
@fuzztone  -  I guess you missed it but I did name the DAC by brand and model in the first sentence of the OP.  I think I understand the preferred connections now, thanks to all.
Preferred Node 2i and Ayre CDP connections to Soekris 2541 DAC?
@lowrider57  Yes, DAC has separate RCA and BNC. Both are S/PDIP and are 75 ohm coax.  My hope/plan is to stop buying CDs and do mostly all Tidal or Qobuz, but I do have some silver discs that are obscure blues bands or smaller market bands that ca...

Thanks to all for the advice and suggestions.  My Soekris 2541 DAC just came in the mail today. I had a senior moment last week when I identified the DAC I had ordered as a Denafrides .... I had been considering both but when the new 2541 Soekris ...

Thanks for the suggestions. @b_limo - Having no experience with streaming music or downloading Hi-Rez files other than listening to a coupe of systems, I am having an internal argument with myself in regards to keeping the Ayre CDP (and the 300 or...
What's my ideal music server? Read and recommend please
So just how pricey are these Bricasti products? (M5 in particular) There literally isn’t a dealer within 1,000 miles of me and their website doesn’t even show an MSRP on any of their products. As a career marketing manager, I have a very negative ...

I created the user name when I lived in Maine, 25 miles from the New Brunswick, CN border.  Lived there on the shore of an undeveloped lake for 12+ years and loved it.  But as old man time marched on, I "aged out" of the snow, ice, sleet, and cold...
Best "Bang for the Buck" you have owned?
For me, it has to be the large Advents.  They were the best sound I could afford on a college students budget back around 1970.  Not only did they  serve me well for many years, but they were the thing that started me down the HIFi road nearly 50 ...
What's the best and/or favorite piece of equipment you've owned? And do you still own it?
For me it would have to be my Kef 104.2s and my Ayre CX-7e red book CD player.  After almost 20 years, I'm gonna send it back to Ayre for a 'tune up and lube", that's how much I enjoy the sound form this piece.
A person I would like to thank/mention in the history of the high end,
I have to go with the late Henry Kloss.  It was his musical but affordable large Advents that started me down the road of a lifetime of enjoying HiFi.  I was a sophomore in college when I first discovered these college students' budget friendly sp...

Thanks for all the input.  Let me shorten this up this time.  My Kef 104.2s will stay.  I don't believe I can find speakers that would sound better and be in my price range.  As I said in the first post, the only other consideration (at some futur...
Buying late model Samsung DLP rear projection TV?
Buy one made in the last two years with the LEDs instead of the expensive bulb replacement. I bought the 67" almost a year ago and am just as thrilled with it today as the day it arrived.
Pioneer sc 07 owners? , just got one .Disapointed
I have the sc05 which is a virtual twin to the 07 and I love it. I looked high and wide and demo'd a lot of receievers before deciding to buy the new Pioneer. Like everything else in this hobby - it's all about component matching. Like others here...
Salamander Quality
I upgraded all of my equipment (except for speakers) over the last year and the toughest thing to find was a well made stand/cabinet. After months of searching stores and on-line I stumbled across a company who makes cabinets that I consider to be...
Blue Ray Concert discs
Go to amazon.com - go to movies - Blue Ray- then music and concert genre - and their list is pretty much all that's out there. The choices are still a bit slim right now, but growing. Sheryl Crowe and John Mayer are both excellent. I'm anxiously a...
