@dill I also agree about the Matsushita 7DJ8. Upscale is good. A little pricey, but they definitely do their due diligence with tubes.  
Sparko Labs Discrete Op-Amps...
Yeah, I just added voltage regulators to my phono pre as well. Not as dramatic of a change as the op amps, but a definite improvement.

Get a Raspberry Pi, install Volumio, attach your DAC of choice (you may need to buy a DigiCard for TOS) and then configure for Spotify, AirPlay, whatever.

purchasing US made speakers
I'm partial to Omega Speakers. Hand made in Connecticut. They use their own proprietary drivers which are also made here in the States. The owner, Louis, It's also great to deal with.
