Subwoofer to use with Dynaudio Xeo 20s and Bluesound Node 2i
Rythmik F12 is also at your pricepoint and an excellent sub for the money.
Pulling myself out of old, broken equipment, one hesitant step at a time...
listening99,1)  Just so you are aware, it is an old wives tale that bass waves cannot be produced in a room smaller than the wavelength (think of the great bass cars have).  It is in fact far different.  When length of the bass wave exceeds twice ...
Would a dedicated streamer enhance my system?
Since you are using Roon, why not just keep your Bryston and configure it as a Roon endpoint?I would not spend the money for to have the sonus upgraded, they still can’t fix it’s biggest issue, the inability to play any source higher than 48/16.
PS Audio Revises Marketing to a Direct Sales Only Model
Went through the thread on their forum.  If there is enough profit margin their dealers were discounting 30-40%, that suggests PS Audio was selling to dealers at about 50% of retail.  I would expect they could pay the cost of their increased infra...
Speakers for a “cold” room
Harsh upper mids is a classic sign of needing to treat first reflection points.  I am in the camp of doing some room treatment first.

If they drop the prices 25-30%, it will put them in a really price competitive position.
Any Love For Bryston Here?
Bryston sucks. I suggest anyone who owns it immediately remove it from their system and mail it to me so I can dispose of it properly.  This goes double if you have a 7B, 14B, or active crossover.

Before proceeding further, tell us about your room.  A great deal of imaging is related to setup and proper room treatment of first reflection points and decay.
My first hi-fi system
Being you are new to this, I recommend you slow down and give ita few weeks before you buy any speakers.  So far you have only heard the Sonus (which are good speakers).  You really, really, really need to address your room, as it is very reflecti...
My first hi-fi system
I am with tomcarr, your room is going to be huge factor in the sound. As it stands, it is reflective and will benefit greatly from treatment to reduce decay times and brightness/hardness from first reflections. Also, a big factor in your sound wil...
The truth about high end speakers MUST READ
Never argue with a fool; onlookers may not be able to tell the difference.

I agree, that amp has the traits you want and is a good amp.  You don’t mention your front end, but that may be worth upgrading.  Pick your speakers and enjoy.
AMP or Preamp
All three would be good choices.  Wilsons are extremely revealing of upstream components, so I would try several if possible.
Carver, THE standard of excellence IMO
I swear, Bob Carver is the kicking boy of the industry since he dares to do things differently.  I have gladly owned a Sunfire Amp for 15 years.  In fact, it is the only piece of equipment I haven’t replaced in 15 years.  Instead, last year, I had...
Recommendations for Vintage Speakers
Snell Model A, but early 80s Kefs (104/2, 105, 107) would be up there.
