your first system-
After 6yrs in depth research, I’m almost done putting my first bucket list high end audio system together. Constellation Inspiration Pre and Stereo Amp, Chord MScalar, Denafrips Terminator, Innuos Zenith, VPI Avenger, Lyra Etna, VDH Grail SB, SR g...
I need help describing the sound of a SET to a friend in English.
My impression of SET is one has to hear to understand.  Not optimistic it's possible to understand before one hears.
Suggestions for an integrated upgrade please
Maybe a used Krell K-300i?  Lots of power, class A sound, lots of very favorable reviews, and is not bright.  Not sure if it can tame the OP hot sounding tweeter.
Please recommend speakers
@expresstrain I have a feeling I will end up getting stands also, but it’s a process... Seems like your requirements are a moving target. If you are entertaining the idea of stands, then a floorstander is best sonically to get significantly be...
When choosing new Speakers, what matters most to you?
Sonics first: after several demos in different systems the speakers I consistently love (emotional engagement) are Magico and YG.  I figured I can reproduce the sound at home if I properly support them with adequate components and room treatments....
Onzow ZeroDust reportedly leaves a residue
I think the common emergent theme here is: don’t JUST use a gel pad dip (whether Onzow, DS Audio, etc I’m not confident you can draw such a conclusion. The sticky formulas are different and the DS Audio ST-50 Stylus Cleaner is a much newer prod...

Suggestions for high efficiency speakers?
@fosolitude Volti Audio high efficiency speakers seems to be relatively transparent/neutral and have garnered very positive reviews: Volti Rival 100dB $11.5k+
Best light weight full range speaker recommendation.
Joseph Audio: PULSAR2 Graphene $9k compact but gives relatively satisfying bass 36lbs each PERSPECTIVE2 Graphene $15k floorstander 85lbs each Lots of positive reviews.
Next upgrade?
@sounasega  Your amp is your strongest component so no need to change.  Your transport is good enough for your current level and for a reasonable DAC upgrade so don't need to replace yet. So it's either speaker upgrade or DAC upgrade.  Monitor A...
Audiophile virtues
@snilf I’m as "obsessed" with the Quest for the Absolute Sound as anyone else on this site  Could be an "addictive" behavior habit pattern. If so, best to take a complete break, then reassess if and how much to re-engage.

New cartridge selection: help wanted
The Ortofon Cadenza Bronze is a good all rounder often chosen for audio show demos.  I read many consider the Kiseki Purple Heart punches significantly above it’s price point
What were the radio stations of your youth that helped you on your music/audio journey?
San Francisco 1960sKFRCKYASeemed not much available good music at the time, didn’t care for the “old stuff” much beyond the 50s.  Now I got decades living through music with it’s affect on the culture and me.  Also increased musical knowledge and ...
Looking for a SS integrated Amplifier recommendation going into a new system
Hegel H590, maybe a bit overkill unless planning for future component upgrades.
