Advice for Sub to match with Martin Logan Monolith III
Yeah, me too. Like I said, I'm 95% two channel music. Maybe having a pair of nice subs will allow me to consider horns or panel speakers next as well.

Steve, nice.I just got the CXC transport recently because my old faithful highly modified Pioneer Elite PD-65 bit the dust and gave up the ghost for the final time last year. And my $40 DVD player just wasn’t, um, "optimal". Debated going all file...

Hey Steve, nice pick up. Can’t go wrong at the price and the trial period, etc.My main speakers are PMC PB1is. I’ve currently driving them with a Muscial Fidelity TriVista integrated, but I recently purchased some Bryston 7BST monoblocks (currentl...

Very welcome Steve. I think/hope they will be the ticket for me as well. They seem to be very well reviewed.Maybe not *quite* a JL Audio Fathom F113, but they’re 1/3rd-1/4th the [$3,999] price.

Best powercables for Martin Logan 15A speakers
Ok, I will be the odd man out. Power cords WILL make a difference on your crossover and class D amps in your [expensive] speakers. https://www.martinlogan.com/renaissance-esl-15a/index.php.  I would not go TOO crazy, but you really should demo a v...

Does anyone have any experience of hybrid valve and solid state power amps?
I have a Musical Fidelity Tri-Vista hybrid integrated that is quite nice.
Finally absolutely satisfied with my system
Outstanding!PMC make great speakers that measure extremely well and sound great. Lots of engineering, experience, and working with driver manufacturers. The *only* thing I would recommend you consider (funds allowing) is a Bryston B-100 SST. You ca...
PMC Fact 3 with hegel h160 or accuphase 350
I would suggest a Bryston 4BSST and a tube preamp.I have PMC PB1i and use Joule Electra + Bryston. Musical Fidelity is a good suggestion (I have TriVista hybrid integrated too). I would also consider Plinius.
Tube vs Solid State
Your speakers will absolutely wake up with Bryston 7B or 28B power.

I think it’s just a plastic dish of a specific size, which is likely filled with some damping material (of celestial origins no doubt). Here is a video of the S3; discussion (and picture) of the polymer housing for the midrange is at about 9:45 ma...
