+1 for the M3. I love mine.  Huge soundstage, very musical. Another +1 for the Stealth USB cable.  It goes hand-in-hand with the Bricasti.  Felt like a must-have, like wheels on a car. Best of luck in your purchase. JAMES
any ATC experts here? Im considering SCM19's vs SCM20PSL Pro Mk2
@audiocanada  I’ve owned the SCM40s for 2 years, and I loved the sound of them.  In my room, the ATCs imaged beautifully, were very musical, and never seemed ’stressed’.  They handled everything with aplomb. I have now moved to ATC SCM100A activ...
Power cord upgrade for ATC 100A Active Speakers
Well, it’s funny how things come about -- especially when dealing on the used market. Ended up purchasing an Audioquest Tornado High Current PC, which matches one I already own.  So those two will power the ATC 100As (eventually from 2 x 20A line...
Isolation footers for ATC SCM100A
Thanks to all for sharing your experiences.  Very useful info. After a few weeks with my old Herbie's Giant Gliders installed, I'm happy with the low end response in the room.  The mid-bass/bass is relatively free of resonances, and the speakers ...
Power cord upgrade for ATC 100A Active Speakers
Thanks @dctom for sharing your experience.  Very useful info. Perhaps I'm 'listening with my eyes', but I've decided to purchase Cardas Clear Power cables for my 100As.  I've had good results with Cardas gear previously. Even if it's just tickin...
Power cord upgrade for ATC 100A Active Speakers
Thanks @joeycastillo for your wise words.  There sure was amazing synergy when I had a Cardas Beyond Power cable hooked up to my Benchmark AHB2 and ATC SCM40s.  Very musical, and fleshed out the mid/low bass nicely. The SCM 100As already sound am...
Power cord upgrade for ATC 100A Active Speakers
@audphile1  Thanks as always for the great suggestions.  The Frey 2 is probably more than I want to spend - ain't that always the way - but I'll keep my eyes open on the used market. I am also a fan of the Cardas PCs, and have a hankering for a m...
Power cord upgrade for ATC 100A Active Speakers
Thanks to all for the responses.  I appreciate the varied perspectives. @buellrider97  I have a dedicated 10AWG 3-wire 20-amp line, with a Cardas outlet for one 100A speaker (which was originally setup to power the 2-channel Benchmark AHB2), and ...
Power cord upgrade for ATC 100A Active Speakers
@jasonbourne71  It’s a slippery neurotic slope, indeed!
Isolation footers for ATC SCM100A
Thanks @celtic66 for the PC info. I have a Cardas Beyond Power PC, which provided a system-wide improvement with my Benchmark AHB2...tried it on one of the 100As, with the other using stock PC -- and was surprised that the difference was almost i...
Isolation footers for ATC SCM100A
@celtic66  Thanks for your solid advice.  The active ATCs seem to have elevated the system to a level I haven't heard before.  Could my upgrade-itis daze be coming to a close?  As Boz Scaggs once sang, 'what seemed impossible, might not be imposs...
Isolation footers for ATC SCM100A
Hi all: First off, thanks to everyone for sharing experience.  I really appreciate it. It seems the overall consensus is that the Podiums are the best solution, and come with the biggest price tag.  :-)  I forgot to ask folks who have Townshends...
Isolation footers for ATC SCM100A
Thanks @buellrider97 for the info re your process, and the thread, which I've also been following.  I will definitely reach out to Stack Audio and Tough Nut to see what they recommend regarding the stands, etc. And thanks @pindac for the note abo...
Isolation footers for ATC SCM100A
Thanks @soix  I’ve been interested in moving to active ATCs for awhile.  This pair of 100s are 30 years old, but they’ve been checked by an authorized ATC service department, and they’re in great shape.  So I couldn’t resist! Thanks for the link...
Vinshine X Collaboration with Kinki Studio, TheTai Hang power enhancer
Question for T/H users: are you running tube or SS amps? I run SS, and don’t have any audible hum or buzzing.  Do you think a T/H will make much of an improvement on sound quality? I run a dedicated isolated ground 20A line for my amp, and have a...
