My Long List of Amplifiers and My Personal Review of Each!
@klh007  Jay, you have really upped the ante with the MSB! A comparison between MSB and dCS will be very interesting, even at different price levels. Most of us have been to a show and heard both the same day, but in different rooms, this should ...

Jay, in your  discussions with Mike from Suncoast Audio, have you ever talked about the Taiko Audio SGM Extreme? Is this something you'd consider making part of your system?

@kren006 Well I suppose I was the first to sniff out the April foolery but won’t take too much credit for that. Shame it wasn’t true - well except for the D’agostino part, hahaOf course he was kidding, but I don't think it was an April Day joke ...

Yeah, not speaking in terms of quality of bass, but @viber6 totally missed ported vs sealed type speakers with Alexx vs M6.
Why would anyone want class AB amp when class A always sounds better ?
Dan D'Agostino also thinks distortion adds musicality to his amps.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JW7fg_yfza4
Replacing Bel Canto S300 blown ASC200 module
Just one more thing to mention ukthunderace, make sure you take pictures while you're doing this. You probably won't need to use them, but better safe than sorry.
Replacing Bel Canto S300 blown ASC200 module
I know nothing about the Bel Canto, or Icepower ASC200, so take this advice for what it is. I had the Ice Edge 1200AS2 modules.Looking at the spec sheet, the ASC200 using 230vac/50Hz @10% THD+N is rated at 290W - so it's close to the suggested 300...
Is Luxman a poor man's D'Agostino ?
Yep, lots of reviews online George, but I wanted to see the review Terry did so I know what components he had in his system, and how long he had the progression amps vs Coda amp.
Is Luxman a poor man's D'Agostino ?
I never could find the Dan D’Agostino Progression Stereo amp review. Does anyone know where it is? Specifically, the one that Terry did.

Get a grip Riaa...I mentioned it once yesterday. Read the forums, plenty of people don’t like them.Actually, I was thinking about getting one, but made sure I researched it enough and convinced myself not to.

Sorry Jay, but there’s a lot of negative comments regarding the Luxman M900U from previous owners. Bad bass and bright highs seems to be common. Possibly due to inefficient speakers? Some even go so far as to say it's mid-fi sounding. For anyone ...
Pass labs x260.8 versus xa160.8
Heat is probably the biggest issue with these amps. If you have a sealed room, it can get very warm in there. Cost of running Class A, compared to A/AB is is more expensive as well. Bass will be a bit tighter with Pass Labs Class A/AB amps. The nu...

Jay, I was excited when you mentioned earlier that Peter McGrath might be willing to help you setup the Alexx speakers at your place. As most people know, he's also a recording engineer and would have been able to give you some insights on what am...
Critical subwoofer tip
I won't criticize anyone who sets theirs subs up by ear. Everyone has their own way to do things. That's all part of the fun. However, I think it's kind of like watching a car drive past and guessing how fast it's going w/out using a radar gun.I sp...
Critical subwoofer tip
Your suggestion is how lots of people try to figure out where to set the phase.TAS suggests doing what you’re saying, but reverse your speaker cables so your mains are out of phase first. Using an SPL meter takes any guessing out of the equation, ...
