Nearly all manufacturers do not advertise/exhibit their product measurements? Why?
@carlsbad Apparently you haven’t read the Audio Science Review forum with over 1000 posts to date. Amir threw me off after the first two hours with maybe 50 to 100 ASR member comments, taking neutral statements out of context, perverting my comme...
Nearly all manufacturers do not advertise/exhibit their product measurements? Why?
@petg60 There are high end product buyers based on specs alone.  Why don't high end manufacturers who are so proud of their products provide test measurements in addition to specs?
Nearly all manufacturers do not advertise/exhibit their product measurements? Why?
From the ASR forum, I stated, unequivocally, that equipment should be heard in a system in a room to determine a purchase. Regardless of the test measurements. Test measurements in sound only get one so far (ASR/Amir’s golden standard). Hearing is...

@mikelavigne +100!
Best vibration isolation for speakers on carpet?
@theaudiotweak  Your posted video was excellent.  ASR (AudioScienceReview) lambasted this guy and his video as unscientific and snake oil.  This is exactly why I started a forum concerning ASR and their inadequacies as well as venomous hatred for ...
Best vibration isolation for speakers on carpet?
My floorstanders weigh 210 lbs each.  They are sitting on 90 oz plush pile over a 12" 3000 psi concrete slab steel reinforced.   I am using spikes designed for the speakers.   It may not be correct but in earthquake country, it appears stable whic...
What speakers have you mistakenly let go and then later repurchased?
I had Advents, Dynaco 25, 35 & 50, ADS 620, all of which are long retired/gone (40+ years).  I consider someone keeping the older set rather than repurchasing it satisfactory for this forum discussion.
One turntable with two arms, or two turntables with one each - which would you prefer?
@pindac I had no problem with my VPI 19-4 for vibration relief-it has springs and rubber feet.   I almost gave back my VPI TNT VI because it's feet are next to worthless for isolation, even sitting on a heavy steel stand with 50/50 sand/shot filli...
Bookshelf vs diffuser panel. Who wins?
@dekay  We are neighbors!  Bobbette Fleschler & Catherine Mulholland founded the Friends in 1993.  I know because when I made the final bid for my house she was at the founders meeting and was elected first president that day.  (We got the hou...

I would appreciate a two armed LP table as well.  I'd keep my Dynavector 20X2 L and add something like a Hana Umami or some Koetsu.

@jumia  I also acquired/rescued 40 lawn bags of books from the estate of the late Universal  pictures conductor Joseph Gershenson which were left out in 1988 for trash.  I took the 1,000+ books, donated half to CSUN (many were 1st editions/unsign...

The VPI arms are also easy to change.
One turntable with two arms, or two turntables with one each - which would you prefer?
I have a VPI 19-4 modded for 78 rpm play and a VPI TNT VI for LPs.   It is just easier to switch from one table to the other since the 78 player requires an equalization preamp whereas the LP play is RIAA flat in my system with a separate phono pr...
What speakers have you mistakenly let go and then later repurchased?
Well I never repurchased a set of speakers but I should have kept the Acoustat 2+2s, for my living room (secondary listening room) from 35 years ago.  Sold them very cheap. @fredapplegate I get your point but my new wife hated them because they l...
