Wall outlets
A simple hospital grade upgrade, even into a shared circuit, will help sound. I’ve replaced at least half of the outlets in my home, and let me tell you, trust nothing. 🤣 If you are using a shared circuit, replace and clean every other outlet...
Superconducting speakers, are they on the way? Would you be first?

Superconducting speakers, are they on the way? Would you be first?
Both technologies are desperately needed to complete my newly designed warp drives. They do indeed! :D I’m really just kind of thinking of how attracted audiophiles are to the concept of modernity. Having cutting edge tech.

Really should have asked this in a different category.  How many of you would dump your $2,000 power cables for a super conducting power cable? Would you still replace it if the new cable was $50?
About ready to give up on Roon and my streamer
I don't know what the Roon issue you are having but mine has been consistently good, but I only use USB.  Next time you have bad Roon experience it may be good to click on the little star symbol to the left of the backwards icon ( |< ) and see ...
Subwoofer Advice & Therapy :)
The biggest issues with subwoofers are integration.  How will it integrate with your speakers and room in the acoustic sense.  My choice would be whichever is going to help you work around your room limitations and speaker configuration the best.
Crossing Left and Right Speakers
They specifically said, Pre left to Right Amp.   Well then that's weird. :D
Crossing Left and Right Speakers
@mihorn While the diagram you provide is true, I don’t know of any theory of speaker dispersion that matches your description. I suggest you take a look at ANY midrange or woofer spec sheet and examine the of-center frequency response, as well a...
Crossing Left and Right Speakers
I think this was probably meant differently. They probably meant to refer to toe-in, or, how much the speakers are angled relative to the rear wall. With the speakers flat to the wall behind them the tweeter axes (plural of axis, say axe - ease) ...
Pro/Studio Subwoofers
@zgas-music In room my Hsu easily does 16 Hz. :)
Bad news for home theater enthusiasts
I think the main takeaway here is that Disney's Marvel assets aren't holding up.
Pro/Studio Subwoofers
@ditusa  Make sure you order a 1 to 2 kW amp to go with that JBL! :)
Maintaining Optimal Electrical Connections
Be extremely careful in using this in AC wiring.  Leave no residue behind, and never spray into an AC outlet. For the wires coming out of a wall and into a socket use fine grit sand paper. I have found that replacing upstream sockets (if any) an...
Pro/Studio Subwoofers
I think you may be happier with good value home subs like Hsu or SVS. For more, look here:   https://data-bass.com/#/?_k=4ytvti   While I find the JL brand impressive, especially the room correction, for my modest needs they are far too overbu...
Anthem ARC - Well, it's not that great.
Hey Kota, no. As I mentioned, I really don’t have time to do much of a write up. I just didn’t like the results. Compared to nothing, they deadened the sound. Compared to my hand tuned EQ, they never managed to create a coherent sound stage. I’m ...
