Any opinions on Record Doctor VI?
The RD, Humming Bird , Spin Dr., GooveWasher are all surface cleaners. The only way to deep clean is with a UC. A lot of these surface cleaners just push the debris deeper into grooves. And while the record looks nice and shiny it plays with the l...
Any opinions on Record Doctor VI?
Seems over priced to me for a record vac. I made my own Record Vac by using a $50 shop vac,Vinyl Vac wand, lazy Susan , old platter for all around $100. For another $100 I got the Vevor UC. I only use distilled (actually RO) water in my UC. Stopp...
Your turntable history
First table was a GE Wildcat I got for Xmas. First one I bought was a used Dual 601 w/ Shure V15 in 1976. Was stolen in 1979 and replaced with Dual 1258 girlfriend bought me that Xmas. Used that until 2017. Listened to CDs mainly from 95 on. Nev...
What is the best sounding vinyl?
M.C.A. Super Saver Series.  Better vinyl than original and made with a lot of same pieces when pressing. So same quality mastering with better vinyl. I have several and can't believe how nice they still play. Yes I did buy some dogs as well. But f...
sundara sound
Sounds like bad phones. I would return them.
I got to get me some of this tiny vinyl.
$15.00 each? I bought "Let It Be" on 45 for .79 cents at KMart. And it still sounds good.
Phono pre amp
Duok T4 Tube mm preamp. Inexpensive yet sounds nice. Good for something temporary.
Best way to spend my money
Maybe a new rack that will hold your TT. 15' RCA run seems long for TT.
Infinity Kappa 8..amp?
Late to game but I use a Parasound A 21 to drive my Kappa 8's and a Parasound A 23 to drive my 7's. Very Happy!
Footers under new speakers
Tekon sells footers for $20.00. Remember every dollar saved can go to new vinyl.
Need a solid surge protector that’s non-current limiting.
I use a Panamax. I think I got off Amazon.
Can an audio rack be that important?
As a long time stereo builder (1975) and PC builder (1995) I would highly recommend against ever putting equipment on the floor. That's where all the dust, dirt, bugs, and water will congregate. Also limited air flow. I was taught 16" minimum , th...
Sharing SACDs
I would never condone any "illegal" activities, but if one wanted to rip a "back up" copy of a SACD what would be a good piece of software?
Center Channel Dialogue
Same problem with old Infinity Video one, wife had trouble with dialog. Just upgrade to a Kilpsh KCF C-5. Wife loves it. I am not a big fan of horns but in this case the horn tweeter works great for vocals. And the C-5 must be pretty damn efficien...
You've run some pretty fancy MC's, but the _______ MM cartridge really impressed me
Music Hall Black Mojo.
