Parasound JC-1 power cord recommendations
JC1's are what I use to design with, the TG Audio Silvers would also be a safe bet since Bob voiced the amp
Preamp to match Parasound JC1 monos
Ellyjr, I ran the JC1's with a Sonic Frontiers Line 2SE+ with some pretty pricey tubes and I would give the nod to the JC2. That is not to say that you might get better results with a different tubed linestage. Either way I would run balanced.

Why Rhodium?
Br, listening to a system configured with various types of cables/connectors and making up cables and changing only one variable like the plug, or solder used, or connector used are two different things. Most people are shooting for a balanced pre...
Why Rhodium?
I still seriously doubt that anyone can hear the difference between any type of connector platingDoes this indicate that you have not tried plugs with different platings? If you have which ones? If not then you have no first hand experience, it's ...

XLR or SE cable?
a lot depends on the gear and what it was optimized for. Both my Ayre and Parasound gear sounds much better using balanced connections; the Ayre esp. If ARC says that is how it will sound best I would go with that advice. A mfg. only wants its gea...

Skills to pay the bills! That's what I'm talking about! do a little dance, make a little love, get down tonight. Shioot 8^).Anyhow enough silliness I have a sp10 mkII in the buff just hanging out, I guess I'll fire it up and see. It is slated for ...
Upgrading wall outlets
Oyaide R1's (best I've heard) or Pass & seymour 8200 MRI. The differences are not subtle
