Klipsch love them or hate them.
Klipsch makes great speakers. Very dynamic, very accurate, something that audiophile speaker lacks severely. They ring a lot compared to beryllium drivers though. Which is both a pro and con.
Enjoying My New Focal Sopra No2's
Directstream DAC has weak bass, it’s a very inaccurate DAC. I would replace it with something else. Also, if your equipment can take it, go with American 240V power, it’s balanced. You can get rid of the Powerplant and have more dynamics and clarit...
Speakers that will bring me down to me knees crying with joy
upmix stereo to 5 channel in a well setup room is the cheapest way to get there. You need to be really technical to be able to set it up yourself though.

Speaker Cable Questions
I have used  Blue Jeans extensively before, they are not very good cables, actually, compared to Mogami, they are pretty bad.
Simple question, best sounding inexpensive DAC.
emotiva, I'm using it with active monitors 20X it's price.
Speaker Cable Questions
Mogami speaker cables are cheapish and very accurate.
Warm sounding power cord for for CD player to suppress digital glare on vocals.
Get the  Furman AC-215.BTW: try bass boost according to the JBL curve. It will make everything sound fuller and better.
why do people feel the need to buy expensive cable
Cable does make a difference, especially for badly designed equipment (eg: anything that is not mass market tends to have design issues).Tip: Mogami cable are the best bang for the buck cable for the mid to high end speaker and interconnect cables.
With $20,000 in your hand, what speaker would you
