Low and high output Grados differences in detail.

I have a Grado Reference Master 1 Wood Body that I haven't tried yet. I also have a Nottingham Ace with 2 tonearms. I'm think the Grado might be the wrong combination for that set-up. I can still return it and get a Shelter which I hear is more detail and slam. Any opinions on this?

FWIW, I once had a Spacedeck/Space Arm. Tried my Grado Master (HO) on it and never could get the sound to sing. Not bad sounding, but didn't sing like it did on my Well Tempered Super. A Dynavector was great on the Spacedeck, but didn't work as well on the Well Tempered. Synergy does matter, regardless of the cost of the cart.

I have a Grado Statement 1 and Rhea Sig. I love this combo with my VPI aries table. Came from Benz LP. Grado is the better cart IMO.

I'm shooting for a Shelter 501 III Phono Cartridge right now.
