Theta vs. MSB vs. McCormack

I am currently playing cds on a Sony DVD with my Sim Audio Celeste I-5080 integrated and Totem Arros. I want to upgrade the source with a DAC to match the other components. Hearing the MSB Link DAC mentioned as one of the best DACs under $1000, I'm also looking into a used Theta or McCormack DAC. Although I'm using a DVD player, my focus is on attaining a musical setup than home theater. Please advise on which is best match for my system.

This is just a follow up question on the same subject. Anybody have a suggestion on what DAC and digital cable to use that will match a Linn Genki CD player.
You may also want to consider an EAD 7000 ser3. It's HDCD compatible and has multiple digital inputs. I'm using it for both my cd changer and dvd player and get great results with both. They were originally @ $2000 and I got mine for < $300. Lateley, the price has gone back up, but still for only $500-600. On cables, I've tried a $200 MIT digital reference, but liked at $30 Canare better.
