nordost heimdall speaker cable

I bought this cable a week ago and have been playing it non stop. It has about 170-175 hours on it. it has settled down a little but I find the cymbals have a slight edge to them. How long will it take to take the edge off or is it a characteristic of this cable? Thanks.

Couger4u...what is the rest of your system? Did you buy the Heimdall Series 1 or the current Series 2 cables?
Cmalak it is audible illusions L2B preamp with Hafler 9270 amp, Nordost Tyr cabling from preamp to amp. Michell Gyro SE TT and Aesthetix Rhea phono amp with Silver Breeze tonearm cable. It is the series 1 speaker cable.
If the Heimdalls are brand new, then maybe a little bit more break-in is required. But I own the Heimdall Series 1 interconnects and speaker cables with ARC amplification and Thiel 2.4 speakers (which to some people are bright but with proper amplification they are not) and I have very natural sounding treble performance. So my guess is more break-in required.

What speaker cables did you switch from? It could be that your prior cables may have produced slightly rolled off highs and now you are readjusting to more HF info coming through but again it should not be edgy or cause any strain, it should sound very natural through the Heimdalls. Have you tried tweaking speaker placement and adjusting speaker toe-in?
I agree with Cmalak, I'm also running Nordost Heimdall Series 1 with no edginess. So it may just require a longer break in, or the cables you replaced them with were warmer sounding.
