“Civilian” reaction to your gear?

When my son was young his friends ignored my system. They discovered Guitar Hero video game and they came in the door as I was cranking Barracuda by Heart and Jordan sat down next to me and listened the next 5 tunes. Guitar Hero saved classic rock for another generation.

The decline of brick-and-mortar audio stores have been going on for well over a decade. 

To me, Audio Salons fail because they have nothing to offer a younger generation raised on low-quality MP3 files., Telling them that that $10K gets them an entry level "beginner " system is probably not the answer they want to hear.

On subject of the recent articles concerning the passing down of generational wealth, it’s "click-bait" designed to polarize us as a society and mirrors someone that’s upset that grandma stop sending birthday money.

 I took a look at your system in the virtual system section and commend you on a system that I would imagine is a joy to listen to and reflects a lot of research and fore thought in assembling. I’m guessing that a little sacrifice was necessary in putting together and no birthday money was used.

I appreciate your praise regarding what I've collected but acquiring such involved a trade up strategy of buying good quality equipment and using the equity in it as well as sweat to move up from one model to the next.

 My 30 year old daughter and her husband sat and listened to my new (old) Dali Euphonia MS5 speakers (tri-wired). I put on a song that will stress out any system. Infected Mushroom's 'You are so F%cked!' I've only played this ridiculous piece twice at full volume, because like the kids said when it was over...

"OMG, that wasn't music, that was AN EXPERIENCE!"

And once I had a female friend who loves music, sit and listen to The Beatles  cirque du soleil LOVE album. She cried through most of it.
