CD/SACD player Under $4000

Looking for a new player. My Sony XA5400 won't play sacd's. Tried a new laser assembly but still won't play sacd's. Like to find something at least as good as the Sony. Does not need to be a network player. Open for suggestions!

I picked up a used OPPO BDP-103 on eBay for cheap.  I made several modifications to it (see oppomods.com) including adding an I2S HDMI port.  Now it sends native DSD to my DAC.  Magnetar bought up a bunch of oppo laser drive me chanisms, so they'd also be a good choice.

I found a lightly used Esoteric K-05x a few years ago well under $4k. Sounds great 👍

Sorry, I’ve never experienced an audio device, except speakers, that I’ve paid over $3k for. Best of luck in your search!

For us cheap bastards, can anyone suggest a great used SACD player under $1000?

Great internal DAC for Redbook CDs and great sounding SACD playback.

Great feature set with Roon/Heos streaming.

It utilizes a proprietary Marantz Musical Mastering (MMM) stream conversion system instead of a traditional DAC chip, which upscales and converts all incoming PCM signals to DSD.

Also has a Marantz HDAM output module.
