If you love 6L6GC tube based amplifiers: Check out Pine Tree Audio's new SET design

Pine Tree Audio just released their new Earth Tones SE tube amplifier. I am flabbergasted with performance of this 6L6GC / 12AU7 tube SET design which is superlative - beautiful tonality/colors, totally transparent allowing all the details to shine through, excellent dynamics and bass control for a SET, and 3D imaging with great air between individual images in the sound-stage. Now , here's the "punchline" it sells for $995! Built in the US with excellent parts/construction. Congrats Jesse, you nailed this, with an unbelievable price tag.

Looks like the price went up to $1195 and the description says 7 watts instead of 5 that I thought it said before.

received my 7W earth tones amp today with custom front power switch.  It sounds incredible, has that holographic realism I expected from tubes, sounds very dynamic, like it has way more than 7 watts!

I'm so glad I chose this as my first serious tube amp.  the push pull tube integrated I had a few years ago really did nothing for me, but this single ended point to point amp has the magic I was hoping for

I was on a list to be notified when they became available again.  That was many months ago.  I was never notified that they were back in stock.  Seems like an amp I would use in rotation with my upstairs two channel system currently being powered by the superb AudioVanAlstine NP1 55 wpc solid state amp.
