Best Supertweeter
I have the Enigmaacoustic supertweeter and think very highly of them. There is an outfit in Nashville that sells them and several other brands like TakeT. However, i have left them messages with no response. So I am looking for a recommendation of a dealer that communicates and sells state of the art supertweeters. Thanks.,

I used tweeters in the 80s to 90s (Sequerra T1 Ribbons). The difficulty is getting the time domain correct, and there was different dispersion patterns than with the main speaker tweeter. It is my opinion that modern speaker designs, with well designed drivers, new materials, driver matching, crossovers, and time alignment, there is no need for a super tweeter as there was in the 80s and 90s. The initial audition is always impressive but for me ends in long term fatigue. I would not spend on a new super tweeter but on room acoustic treatments or modern speaker designs. If you prefer retro equipment like old Quads, then a new super tweeter is in order and a wise spend. |
