I use Big Bullies with active low end and they are fantastic. I bought pre-assembled version.
GR Research Allie speakers
Has anyone tried these or their bigger brother (sister actually) the floor standing Mattie? I have a pair of Allie. They have taken a while to break in (sounded exaggerated textures) but I am very happy with them now that they have. You certainly do need a sub with them. Imaging, depth, dimensionality!!! Using them with my Bryston 3B3 amp they are dimensional, nuanced, and involving. I tried driving them with my Rogue Dragon Mono’s, but I did not like that combination - not nearly as involving.
Anyway, I am curious about anyone else’s take on them.
