Does anyone have a digital system that is as involving as their analogue front end?

I have a good analogue front end. Not stratuspherically good but good enough for this comparison. VPI Prime Signature 21 turntable, Pass Labs XP-25 pono preamp, Pass Labs XP-30 preamp and Hovland Radia amp. It has a lovely, very involving sound. On the right recording, I just drop everythng and am drawn in to listen.

My streamer, on the other hand, is decent but not spectacular. It is better than my CD player, but it is not jaw-dropping like my analogue front-end. My question is this: does anyone have a high-end, tier-one streamer (dCS Bartok Apex, Lumin X2, or something like them) that can rival a good analogue system?

@audphile1 Of course yes

It sure would be cool if that fella could post in here to compare the two setups though, relevant to the OP's original question. Some sweet gear.

But my Meitner MA3i wasn't hooked up to the TP Link. It was hooked directly into the ATT fiber hub/router. The Meitner was on a separate password than the TP Link. Rationally, it didn't exactly fit what I know about networks, although I'm no guru. I worked at HP in computer sales and stuff rubbed off on me. Anyway, it worked, and is working now as I wirte this.

I think I mentioned that the guy who wrote the Meitner MA3i review for Stereophile had a dCS stack, the $1/4 million one, and his bottom line was the dCS stack was better but he could happily listen to the MA3i. He dismissed the MA3 as so far beneath the MA3i, it wasn't worth talking about. That's one of the reasons I decided to upgrade early.

I might have sold you as a network guru to Amadeus Meitner. He said maybe you could help him with networking problems and earn points toward a DV2i. smiley

That’s pretty funny @audio-b-dog I’’m call them and ask them to cover the tarrifs charges I just got from FedEx for the replacement streaming card  lets start with that  lol

Btw I remember you tried it from mesh and it didn’t work

keep your ma3i connected to eero. If by now you’re not experiencing drop outs you should be good.

@mclinnguy yeah the kronos table is pretty sick. Both the main and secondary systems were very cool
