Best bang for the buck

What’s been the most cost effective item you purchased for your system?
I will go first- a Zerostat I bought 40 years ago. Next most cost effective purchase has to be a Denon DL103R cartridge which I bought new for $300.

A pair of Ohm Sound Cylinders from my local Goodwill for $39.75 including tax. Wide open 3-D sound from any spot in the room!

@edinphiladelphia - a quick update the IFI Silent I Power 2 arrived yesterday and I have plugged it in.  Far too early to reach any conclusions.

I will say it feels much heavier and well built compared to the stock wall wart it came with.  Given the overall improvement of the rest of the fiber filter to my system it will be interesting to see if it can improved by the IFI device.

If it does not create a noticeable change I think I will repurpose it something else in my system.

I never tested with and without the IFI.  In fact, never even thought about it.  When I got the parts, I just put it together and listened.  I was more focused on implementing the fiber media conversion was taken aback by the improvement.

I'm going to have to say that it was probably the Emerson turquoise plastic transistor radio from the late 1950's... maybe $10 or $15. The biggest step was from none to some.
