7 Gauge, 12 foot long WBC interconnects with gold spades have worked well for me on two setups. Can argue they are not as good as $1000/$3000 cables, but I can’t tell.
$230 a set on Amazon.
I get full range on any set of speakers I connect.
Speaker cables - cables make a difference
Happy weekend,
I have some PAD speaker cables I had reconditioned
and burnt in a little. They just opened up this listing session
I just hear that live small group, rock/ folk, Live sound.
its not as deep, and delineating, but you get more the other way.
I like them both. Reminds me of going to a show. Happy Loving
This Hobby.
Awesome to hear your experience! I've never heard of those cables but if @audphile1 recommends them, they're probably solid. I use Shunyata venom X on my primary system and Analysis Plus Oval 12 blacks for my secondary system. With the Venom X - people don't realize they punch well above their entry level stuff even though it carries the "venom" name. Super resolving and natural sounding cables. Never pay retail. Find demos or used cabling!! Save yourself 40-60% of the cost! Also these cable discussions make me realize how many cable companies are out there. It's impossible to audition them all (and who would want to - cable plucking and bending over behind audio equipment is nooo fun) but it would be cool to have an idea of best cables in X price range for different types. Obviously synergy will be key but there's also cables that consistently outperform others at the same price point. The easiest to recommend components for have been Cardas Parsec power cables and Shunyatas hubs/conditioners like the Gemini 8 or the Hydra Sigma. I'd like to try more Kimber cables in my system after my experience with the D60 coax cable. Yes cables make a difference. Don't listen to people who spout bad research from the 70s as the golden standard of today. Use your ears people! |
interesting method of lowering noise floor. I haven’t tried it yet. I usually completely eliminate the noise floor by turning off my amp. |
