@kennyc or don't invite them again... which is my story.
Jay's barbecue - disinvited
The barbecue is on and is all very exciting, or I should say was exciting. We had lots of fun talking about decorations around pool, inviting neighbors who live kind of far away since Jay lives in the middle of a forest. And also about food and local caterers who plan to help.
The mood was celebratory.
It was exciting visiting the most famous listening room in the country, and because I was having trouble containing my excitement I accidentally spilled an entire glass of merlot wine on a new carpet. And earlier I recommended putting a couch along the wall which would've overlapped the acoustic panels and possibly putting a few pieces of furniture in the room since space seems kind of open. It's a really large room. I sensed a mood change.
Was it the wine? Was it my taste in furniture? Was it related to my concern about types of music that that would be played at the barbecue?
It's a mystery. Things did not go well that afternoon and consequently, I will not be invited to the barbecue.
What an amazing journey and I'm sorry I will not be able to visit and experience all the incredibly expensive and wonderful audio components that will be featured. That's OK. Thank God for you tube.
for those future visitors, please let me know if he was able to get the stain out of the carpet. Maybe now he'll consider buying a couch which will hide the stain.

There is a program for people who can't handle their alcohol.... |
I’m one of them. Back in the day, I was a heavy party animal at dance clubs etc challenging others to drinking contests - record is 17 kamikazes without passing out. Post High school through college it was considered cool, older not so much. Occasional heavy binge drinker, could not stop by willpower. Drunk head bobbing with my very young triplets so then decided to stop so went to a Christian 12 step program twice, now on sobriety. Still miss craft bears like Samuel Adams. |
