A $2 million exotic car will spend most of it's life sitting in the garage. The weather and conditions will have to be just right to drive it. Maintenance is in the thousands. Getting anywhere near it's performance potential on public roads could place you in jail, a hospital, or a morgue.
A $2 million dollar racing boat will spend most of it's life in a dock. The weather and conditions have to be just right to use it. In most climates it would be dry docked half the year. Filling the tank could cost thousands. Maintenance and storage is tens of thousands more. Screw up on the water at 90mph and you and your passengers are dead.
A $2 million audio system can be enjoyed anytime -most audiophiles frequently enjoy their systems. Weather does not effect your experience in almost all cases. It costs almost nothing to operate and maintain. Apart from worsening your tinnitus, there is no risk to enjoying your audio system.
Plus, it is both highly illegal and extremely ill advised to operate that car or boat under the influence. We can enjoy our systems as wasted as we wish! :)

Wilsons new flagship
Maybe I am getting old but Wilsons new flagship $780k and they feel it is justified,
lit gets better if you want custom paint $110,000 they said it takes 2 days to paint both speakers, Jays audio lab commented and I think it was way too much and
$110k for $300 in paint is nuts that is truly taking advantage of everyone with wealth, imo only an idiot would pay that. I guess nothing should surprise me any more !!
