Auditioned Wilson Sabrina X vs B&W 803D4 and Shocked

I'm the original poster who listens to a "crappy pair of KEFs." I will enlighten you a little to further supplement your amusement. I previously owned a pair of B&W 802 D3s and sold them because I moved into a smaller place. I missed them immensely, thus my auditioning of both. My dealer is licensed to sell both B&W and Wilson. The Wilsons were completely outclassed by the B&Ws. I had money in hand and was ready to buy the Wilsons! The dealer even admitted it! There is a lot of hype with the Wilsons. Not to my taste, though.

Also, to educate you a little further, "crappy" KEFs have state-of-the-art engineering and research that is a benchmark in the industry. We all have our preferences, and that is what makes this hobby great!

Lastly, it is low-class to demean someone's choice in audio equipment. A true audiophile appreciates all gear and offers creative suggestions and input to their fellow enthusiasts. 

As the saying goes, it's better to be considered a horse's behind and not speak, than to open your mouth and prove it.

The newer Sabrina V is night and day better then the X by a lot ,

 the YG summit is a exceptional loudspeaker in the $30k range at $30k not as warm as Wilson’s but more precision and 90db efficient ,4 ohms 

@jeffreyw Agree, that comment about crappy KEFs was in bad taste. There's not a single brand out there we all completely agree on, but it's really a wild take to call a highly-regarded design like the KEF Ref 1 a "crappy" speaker. Also, you didn't like the Sabrina X at all after auditioning them, so why would you "still own them" later?

I originally had the B&Ws but sold them. I bought the KEFs because it was a better fit; however, I wanted the B&Ws back because I missed them so much. I decided to audition the Wilsons against the B&Ws to see what competition there was. As you stated, we all can't agree! Our ears are the best judge! For now, I'm still going to keep my crappy KEFs.

@jeffreyw Makes total sense to me. I don't understand the tribalism people engage in. It's like KEF personally insulted their mother or something!

When reading about someone's system choices, we can totally make a judgement whether we would have followed the same path or not. But we should also keep in mind our preferences, systems, rooms, and ears are all different. So if someone actually took the time to audition things and made a choice that maybe seems different from what I would have made - who am I to say they are wrong?
