Fidelium speaker cabke

Anyone make risers for these nice cables?

jw944ts

Jw944ts, my apology.  At 2:15 AM I missed the XLR part of the question.  I am using them between my streamer and preamp; I previously used a pair of AQ RCAs.  So, there was a noticeable improvement in reduction of background noise and imaging.  It is, however, hard to say whether it came from the switch to XLR or the nature of the Fideliums.  The improvement was such that I am keeping in that role.  My power amps, after getting them back from Klaus, now have XLR inputs, and I am using DH Labs AirMatrix XLR cables for the 7 and 17 ft runs; would have loved to have Fideliums for that role, but a bit of a stretch financially at the moment due to other depended.  I may upgrade at a later date.

D.I.Y = Suggestion - - - make these yourself. No tools required - (approximate quantities for 1 PR. 10' cables)

16 pcs - 4" x 4" x2" (square bowl blanks - different woods available)      Approximate $192.00

16 (2 pak) SORBOTHANE  (ISOLATE IT) #0532550-30 - 2.5" DIA X ,5" TK.

BUILD = SHOULD YIELS 8 ASSEMBLIES PER CABLE.

STACK - (!) wood block - Center and press attach (1) SORBOTHANE DISC on the wood block - Center and press in place (1 assembly / foot of cable)

FINISH BY CENTERING AN ADDITIONAL SORBOTHANE DISC over the previous block/disc/ cable to complete an assembly. REPEAT EACH FOOT OF CABLE THAT WOULD OTHERWISE LIE ON A FLOOR SURFACE.

To be verified = Approximate total cost = $592,00

Slightly pricy but will not only look nice (depending upon wood selected) but will do an outstanding job of cable isolation. (Easy to move and re-locate if desired)
