Bookshelf/subwoofer combo

Looking for a good match, 10K or less. Upstream components will be picked later. I'll do as much research as possible on line as traveling to audition is pretty much impossible for me.

Thanks in advance.

I recommend two or three subs.  Rhythmik F12 or the bigger dual sealed or F15 would be great in that space.

I agree with those that say maybe tower would be better.  Some used tektons could be amazing for that space.  Like used moabs or double impacts.  Could get new but some people don't want to support them after the battle with Erin at Erin's audio corner.  Otherwise keep an eye on Perlisten or Arendal monitors/smaller towers!!

Best of luck to you!!

Add $4k and purchase D&D 8c.  F3 = 23 hz and literally no sub is needed for music listening.

I saw that someone above mentioned Joseph Audio.  I strongly agree with that recommendation.  I had the Pulsars and a pair of small REL subs.  Great match.  In a similar sized room I went to floor standers from that combination.  Very significant improvement, particularly in the position of the soundstage, size of the image and scale of the instruments, vocal and music.  I lost nothing in the imaging.  Currently I'm using Estilon YB MK2s.  Unfortunately theey're well beyond your stated budget but it show you can consider an appropriately sized floor stander as well.

I have the Borresen X1's paired with 1 Rel T9X in my office.  Sounds terrific.  Paired with a Burmester 082 and Naim streamer/dac.

Good luck and let us know how you make out.

Given what you’re looking for and budget, I’d pair Joseph Audio Prisms, ProAc Response D2s, Revival Atalante 5s, or Fritz Carbons with a pair of Rythmik F12 subs.  All would be sublime IMHO and pretty sure you’d be thrilled with any of them, but I believe Fritz (and Rythmik) is the only one where you get a return option if they don’t work out for some reason.  Just my $0.02 FWIW, and best of luck in your search.
