The Shunyata Research OMEGA-X-Ethernet Cable

@brianlucey If these so called wonder cables actually function like the manufacturers say they do, where is the published data projecting their greatness? They talk about how they are engineered for perfect signal integrity but where is the proof? This $3,800 cable will not sound any different than a properly built, robust cable that cost $50. I want to see one reputable single, double, triple blind test that reflects that this cable sounds "better" than a $50 cable. If you can find any tests please let me know.

This is hog-wash.. Where is the proof???

--The Omega-X digital cables are the finest performing digital cables ever produced by Shunyata Research, employing innovative, proprietary technologies that dramatically reduce common-mode noise, cable-induced jitter, and associated time smear. These advancements allow digital systems to perform at a level that rivals the world’s finest analog and master tape sources, unlocking the ultimate performance potential of digital playback.

@grunge1000

I appreciate your insights and think along exactly the same train of thought.

@brianlucey

You are now caught between unsubstantiated claims that cannot be reliably proven by a manufacturer, and a workflow problem that depends on consistency and repeatability in a professional environment (a mastering studio?!) where the outlier are cables which you claim "all sound different." Therefore, given the sheer amount of variability, you cannot deduce that your workflows are optimized, which makes the very work you do questionable at best, and most probably guess-work, rather than precision-work.

I would be terrified if I were an artist and went to you for remastering or mastering my music.

Frank you’re obviously extremely ignorant when it comes to all of this and I don’t have time to bring you up to speed on reality, but I’ll just give you a couple quick things… Every monitor sounds different, every monitor controller sounds different, every speaker cable sounds different, every amp, every XLR cable is different, every compressor sounds different, every equalizer sounds different… This doesn’t mean that people change their Studio for every client or song that comes in the door… Each person assembles a pallet of colors that give the result that works for the most people or for the people that they target in a particular idiom or they simply do what they like, and they attract people who like the same thing… There’s nothing perfect here there’s nothing absolute

and your understanding of the science is decades behind

i'm actually starting to think that you might be an AI robot agitator… My professional credentials are available online, what are your credentials? Where do you work, what city, what industry… Are you a real person? You're starting to sound like a Chinese or Russian robot
