Waversa VDAC MK2 opportunity what's your thoughts?

Good evening my fine audio friends, I'm looking for opinions-experience.

I have an opportunity to trade an amp I'm not using for an Waversa VDAC Mk2 DAC, I've zero experience with Waversa as a company and never heard any of their products. There are very few reviews on the VDAC Mk2. Few more for their less expensive WDAC3, that sound seems to interest me.

I have been in the market for a Tube DAC so this has perked my interest.  I'm wondering if any of you have owned / listened to the VDAC MK2 that could give me an idea of the sound signature, if its still a good value today, etc.

I have Magico A3 speaker, Thoress FF preamp (on the way), and yet to determine final amp. The DAC will be the main digital source, I also have a Vinyl rig that I will lean heavily into the Thoress phono stage. I tend to like a full midrange sound (think tube sound) with very good sound stage, good detail levels and bass depth is also nice.

I sold the Cord Dave I had and was thinking of a Lab 12 DAC to get by for now, but this maybe a better DAC, or potentially a long term DAC?

Its not local so can't pop over to listen easily, and not in my own system. I'm not apposed to taking chances if the product is a good one and resale is decent enough so if if don't end up liking it I can sell it. I would like to move the Coda Integrated along and I do need a DAC. .

I've always been intrigued by Waversa gear. It all looks very well thought out and designed. I like how they will do everything from huge $20k+ DACs to small desktop units and even portable headphone amps with much more affordable price tags. Their high-end gear truly looks like it belongs in the big leagues.

Problem is, I've never heard any of it or even seen one in the wild. Their dealer network appears extremely limited, and is doing them no favors. At least in the USA that is the case.

I would jump at a chance to try one out if possible. But would be scared to commit to a blind buy. I bet it would be tough to unload if you didn't love it.

@glennewdick Any updates? I'm curious if you ended up trying the Waversa or not. Such an underappreciated brand from what I can see of their gear. But I've never heard it so I'm just speculating.
