To LP Listeners: Fozgometer Experiences...
I am considering purchasing a Fozgometer V2 to verify/improve my cartridge’s azimuth.
Questions:
- Which Fozgometer do you own – V1 or V2?
- Did you find it easy to use?
- Which Test LP did you use (the AP “analogue Test LP” is recommended)?
- Did it make a meaningful difference in the set-up of your cartridge?
- Did it make a meaningful difference in the SQ of your LPs?
Thanks in advance for sharing your experiences.

Do you think for a second that some low bit, low resolution sources from an internet link is actually going to convince anyone in the know, could be used for such a comparison? You really are a snake oil salesman! I'll also add that there are a plethora of "golden eared audiophiles" here that'll claim they can hear a difference. Boy! |
@faustuss Zenith and Azimuth are completely different. There is a video tutorial on all the parameters here https://www.wallyanalog.com/videos including one on Zenith You can also see Zenith and Azimuth alignment errors found and corrected on my cart - there is a report in my system profile if interested. |
Here. Korf on azimuth. |
PS. After you have read part I of the Korf articles on azimuth, be sure then to read part II, which is found by clicking on the URL to the upper right of the part I article. These articles reflect my current opinion and practice as regards azimuth adjustment. Especially this quote from Part III: "Measuring and minimizing crosstalk will give us a cartridge position where the generator coils are aligned, but the stylus isn't. Compared to aligning the stylus itself, it would result in worse HF reproduction, more harmonic distortion and worse tracking." |
