Lumin X2 Has anyone used this device yet?

Almost on queue, just as the X2 passed the 200 hour break in mark the deep bass has returned. Quite pleased.

Question:

The X2 came with Iso-Acoustic footers installed.  Before I disconnect everything and turn the unit upside down, can they be removed? Are they just twisted on?

I asked the question of removing the footers because I have some very expensive footers (Critical Mass CM2) that worked so well with my X1 that I would like to try with the X2. But the Iso-Acoustic footers are much larger than the ones on the X2.

Removing them would be ideal, if they can...

I think , I will wait the launch of ´´ LuminX3 ´´  ; if ever .

It is very a personnal matter ; but I wonder if the improvment of the LuminX2 worths the ~ $ 10000 ( CAD )  difference ?

That’s a difficult question to answer.  For me, my dealer offered a great trade-in price on the X1, so it made it an easier decision.  Given that Lumin included a new processing platform and a bespoke DAC, I decided it was worth the investment.  I am not disappointed.

Yes, the X2 s is that much better than the X1, which is a fine piece. The differences are: a much deeper and wider soundstage with better 3D imaging that is quite impressive.
