Lost Last Classix Rock Station

I put up a 10dB FM antenna that cost $600 and bought a $200 FM tuner. Only one station played classic rock with in 50 miles and shared with the terrible New Age format.. To me New Age all sounds the same and some talk vs sing- just junk. Now, this only station with in 60 miles radius converted to all New Age music. I can not believe the many stations here within 60 miles does not play Classic Rock but there is about 10 New Age stations. I bought a Ocean Wi-Fi internet receiver, The $800 was a total waste of money!

FM tuner ownership is only good for Classical/Jazz enthusiasts.

Assuming most areas have PBS reception, there's usually a station dedicated to the genres. In Los Angeles, CA broadcast quality is good.

Sadly, the remaining Rock station is forgettable.

Decent OTA Rock broadcast has been MIA for decades now.

My tuner rarely past 91.5 Mhz. PBS stations typically lower left on the dial

Broadcast is, like it or not, for the here and now.  We old guys need to suck it up.  I remember hearing Buffalo Springield's "Bluebird" in, maybe 1967, on my VW's 6volt from JC Whiney's AM only radio and going nuts.  Then we had the 60-70's realm of FM album radio.  Those days are over, man.  Kids nowadays will still groove on the Beatles or the Stones but the less obvious stuff is left to you, and to me.  That's life.  Sonny Rollins, who I heard live in Houston in the 80's, just passed away.  This is the natural progression.  It's life. Who cares now about Frank Sinatra or Billie Holiday, even if they should?  Aficionados, man, that's who.  And maybe that's how it should be, no matter how worthless the modern stuff is (for me, that feeling started with rap and ended with soul).  Hopefully, you have a collection you can enjoy, but on broadcast?  Really?  Where do you think that market is coming from?  Of course, most of today's marketed stuff is crap.  Thank your lucky stars you were around to be there when the good stuff came about. It was a revolution. Now, it's just merchandizing, and I pity these poor kids left with uncreative, uninvolving schlock. I mean, Jimi Hendrix has been dead for 56 years!  You ain't gonna hear him or Buiddy Holly on the radio, so to hell with radio!  BTW, the independent station WEVL 88.9 or online (as in "boll" I guess) out of Memphis is a fun trip, especially Cap'n Pete's Blues Cruise on Friday nights (reruns, Cap'n Pete's been gone for two decades) is a gas, and there are other outlets out there, but twisting your FM dial is not gonna get you there. So why try?  Put on a record and show your young'uns what they're missing. None of us is here forever. I mean, what would a dinosaur think of us now?

There you go. Lots of stuff out there, although, of course, you have to listen to what they give you, which ends up sending me to Discogs late at night!  Pretty funny. I lack self control!
