I won’t mention any specific SACD, but I will state that the best sound I have in my system was playing SACD’s on a demo Meitner MA3i DAC.
I always find that disks sound better than streaming. I have very good fibre optic streaming and have owned some good ones, such as a Playback Design Stream-IF, Lumin X1, and the original Sonore OpticalRendu. The SACDs on the Meitner MA3i takes top spot over streaming for sonics.
At the moment, I am listening to a Stones Hot Rocks SACD disk on a cheap OPPO, GeerFab D.BOB, and a RME ADI-2 DAC. Very low cost, and even in this setup there is a fullness to the sound of the disks that is greater than streaming.
I love streaming and it is my main way to listen but am glad I kept my old disks.
