Do you start fine tuning the system with cables or tubes ?


Well, with both eventually, of course. But how do you usually proceed ?

You're talking in absolutes; I just don't see it.

Nor do I. You get the most out of your system without major upgrades and only then move further if you are so inclined. But not $5k tube set for $3.5k integrated, no, that would be too extravagant, I got $1.5k tube set in it.

I just prefer to keep it stock and true to the designer's intent.

re-tubing with stock tubes is maintenance. The OP was asking about fine tuning
