Just came across this thread (and others about Fidelium). I bought and installed the Fidelium speaker cables in the last 2 weeks.
I had been considering Allnic ZL5000, Ansuz C2, as well, but the Fideliums' / Fidelia's combination of raving reviews and relative affordability made me pull the trigger on a purchase.
And I am very glad I did. I immediately enjoyed the Fidelium's great signature qualities (much better described by others on this forum): great coherence of tone across the frequency spectrum, amazing resolution and speed, tons of detail and tonality, etc.
In fact, after a few days I reached out and ordered 2 sets of Fidelium interconnects too.
I had been comparing Allnic MU8-R, Audio Sensibility Signature, Neotech Nemo 1120 - all silver, or silver + copper, and a few pure Cu UP-OCC cables too. They all bestowed slightly different flavors and attributes, but there was no obvious 'winner' for me.
This was different from my comparison of the Fidelium speaker cables to the Nordost Tyr or WBC 9AWG's, where the Fidelium basically outperformed those cables on more or less all dimensions.
But I have admittedly limited experience with speaker cable brands. I bought my current speakers (Alta Audio Adam) less than a year ago, and had been focused on room treatment and getting Townshend seismic podia first.
I'm still curious about the Ansuz C2, since I really liked their power cables. It was the first time I could really hear a difference in overall sound quality due to a power cable change. I had been agnostic about the impact of (power) cables, but empiricism prevailed. I am now more open to investing in cables to further refine the sound quality of my system.
The Fidelium cables seem like a step-change to me, i.e. a complete level up from most other cables, due to their unique design. The return on investment in this case, was huge, like upgrading a component, closer to 'transformative' than to 'iterative'.
Is that impression correct?
Have any long-time Fidelium owners since moved up to significantly better cables?
if so, which cables and what do they do better than the Fideliums?
Has anyone compared the Ansuz C2 cables to Fidelium?
Thanks.
