Earth Day, turn those amps OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Earth Day, turn those amps OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've said it before, I'll say it again, it is Environmentally IRRESPONSIBLE to leave your equipment on for long periods of time, before or after, or truly despicable, ON all the time!

On, 20 mins, listen, done, off!

Doctors, Lawyers, Trust Fund Kiddos, come on now.

Where were you in 1970?, I was there in Manhattan (went to college at Pratt in Brooklyn 1966-1970)

@audphile1 ,

All valid points, but that’s corporate consumption. This is about being personally responsible for the energy saving actions we are individually in control of.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to plug in and recharge my device and vacuum the laundry room before I put in a load of wash.

If you are here, you’ve got amps. That’s the subject, the rest is ....

interesting, but each and every decision you/we make has to fit your belief system.

who said ’you gotta believe’? not the movie, before that?

Was it about the 1969 Mets?

I know exactly where I was when they won: In a cab, stuck in traffic on 3rd avenue, outside the US Plywood Headquarters’ Building  at 49th street; horns blasting, computer paper flying down from everywhere (office windows opened then) (the big wide tractor feed printouts, some didn’t open on the way down, THUD).

@thecarpathian not corporate consumption. Satisfying supply demand. Sell all your electronics and go off grid. Help keep the planet safe.
Trust me we’re not going to kill the planet by keeping our amps on. No sir. It’s been here for 4.5bil years. It will swallow you and me with all our amps, cables and vinyl records then schiit us out without even noticing. Don’t sweat it.

@audphile1 ,

Not sweating it, just pointing out there are steps we can take to minimize our consumption. That's why I wash dishes by hand, and hang the laundry on the line whenever the weather permits, to name a couple. We're still going to consume, no question. As far as the Earth goes, I'm surprised it hasn't cooked up a plague to get rid of us all.
