You did not spell out if you meant Linn only products or if you would consider aftermarket products. In addition, there is the choice of on board or out board power supplies. I can only suggest that you look at the Vinyl Passion Revolution on board power supply from the UK. Obviously, an on board power supply eliminates the extra box and cable that you will have to contend with using an outbooard power supply. I have been very pleased with mine.
Linn Sondek LP12 - Which Power Supply has the best value?
I have a vintage LP12 with Valhalla PS (recapped). It has new springs, Motor, Tone Arm Cable, changed Basik arm to Ittok LVII Black, Linto Phono Stage, and Ortofon MC X30 upgraded by VAS with Boron/Micro line. Iwant to change the PS in order to have 33.33/45rpm switch. I can use the Valhalla on an Ariston RD80 SL that I am repairing/upgrading.
Interested in opinions of which PS to implement that is in balance with the value of the assembled pieces. I may do other upgrades later on to the bearing/platter/etc...

@maam522a What motor did you use as a replacement? The Lingo 4 PS with its 12V AC motor (plus 331/3 & 45 rpm switch) would be the most appropriate PS for your TT. That, followed with a Karousel bearing would be quite an upgrade transforming your table to a much higher level. I ran an Ittok arm for years and when I changed my bearing to Karousel it was a huge upgrade. The plinth, bearing and PS are the foundation for a Linn TT. Bruce |
