JBL XPL200A The Unicorn speaker?

I found a pair of JBL XPL200A which I immediately snatched up! Anyone that had the pleasure of listening to the XPL200 would agree they are worth the $ to repair. The woofers needed re-foaming which was a given considering the vintage. One of the tweeters (046-Ti1) needs a new diaphrgm, unfortunately JBL stopped producing them but offer the newer version (046-Ti1S) which is supposed to sound identical. However, the replacement diaphragm is 10db lower. We swapped the new diaphragm on the working tweeter and it played 10db lower also. The XPL200 is 6ohm but I haven't seen a 6 ohm diaphragm. Does anyone know a direct replacement or have experience replacing Ti speakers? TIA!

Update: my crossover settings are as follows:

for the 12” woofers 90Hz to 280Hz, High/mids 1.2khz

Does that look right?

No subs other than a powered JBL. Essentially the internal XPL network is handling both Ti speakers (high/mid). I believe The midrange cone and woofer are being controlled via x-over.

The speakers are wired by JBL for bi-amping. Use 250 to 300Hz., 24 dB/octave slope. Do you have the XPL200 manual?

Woofer is on the low bi-amp terminals and other 3 drivers, 6.5" midrange, 3" titanium midrange dome and 1" dome are wired to the high terminals through the internal crossover. If you need a copy of the XPL200 manual, it's available on HiFi Engine.
