I think Lloyd used very fine silver wire that is actually sold for use in cardiac pacemakers. If so, you can but it. In fact I have some in various thicknesses. I say "thickness" because it is not labeled as to gauge in the conventional sense. I think it comes in 1.0mm diameter and below. Since it is silver and so thin, I found it almost impossible to solder and eventually gave up on it. The wire itself melts when silver solder gets up to melting temperature. You have to work fast. I will get you the name of the company later tonight.
Support for recently purchased used Walker Proscenium needing TLC...
With Lloyd gone, I am looking for resources for support & questions. So far Fred Law seems un-interested, so I am looking to the community of users / former dealers. I am VERY interested in contacts with knowledge I can tap into.
My current key questions...
- Sources for the tonearm wire & cartridge clips Lloyd used?
- Info on his later air supply, source, specs, manual? Looks like a California Air Tools unit, but they didn't respond with useful info on what Lloyd used.
- Damping fluid type & viscosity?
- Glue to use to join belt material?
- Dimensions of & durometer(s) of the Sorbothane blocks under the Prologue platform?
I REALLY, REALLY appreciate any info sources or answers to my questions above!
