Our son who has lived in Tokyo for almost 20 years gifted us with a rice cooker way back when he first moved over there, all buttons labeled in Japanese which he kindly translated for my wife. The thing refuses to break or malfunction after nearly 20 years. Over there, in department stores, there are shelves upon shelves displaying rice cookers of differing degrees of automaticity and cost. Everyone has one. |

I've been curious about them since I was a kid, but not to the point of making a lateral move from my long-owned and beloved TD320. |
