Black Ice F35

I saw a review on Youtube New Record Day about the Black Ice F35 tube amplifier.

Anyone own this amp and what are your opinions? Thanks Mark

I've only heard it at a local shop with Dali speakers and it sounded great. I've read a bunch about Black Ice and I have a good opinion of the company and products.

One of the great things about this unit is that it will take a variety of tubes, including the KT77, which is a luscious, intimate sound -- my favorite by far.

https://blackiceaudio.com/integrated-amplifers-1/p/black-ice-fusion-f35-integrated has details.

There's a discussion here, from 2021: https://forum.audiogon.com/discussions/black-ice-former-jolida-company-new-integrated-amp-opinions

Thanks. I like the fact that you can change the sound with tube swaps instead of being stuck with a solid state amp.

To @m20j201 - a good friend ended up buying the F35, and he enjoys it quite a bit with KT77s. As long as you have speakers that are not too inefficient, and can deal with 60wpc (using the nice sounding lower powered output tubes) with good speaker matching it can be a nice more affordable option, sounds good. I’ve met with the owner of the Co years back, and the current CxO and they seem to care about their products and helping people to realize their audio dreams :)  Another buddy has an older Jolida pre-Black Ice era, KT88 based amp, and they replaced the whole circuit board for him (to a newer version) and made a few nice upgrades that worked out well for him too. We talked about it again this week, he’s been listening to that older integrated amp past 3 years solid and still loves it, fwiw. A few other references for you if its helpful. Worth giving them a call with some questions.

Thanks, I ordered a pair of Shinjitsu Hiro Horn speakers. I believe these would pair well with the F35.
