Thx for a honest comparison. To an audiophile who could afford pricy gears there is no diminish return. Just like more linear class A output stage, every percentage of improvement yields same amount the return within the limit he or she could afford. I remember a guy demo A6 against dCs and claim they are almost on par (although I don’t trust his ears) he won’t trade his $30k dCs. I would possibly do the same if I could afford them. Right now, Rs130 equates the total worth of my entire 1st rig. Ha!  I will continue enjoying my humble system.

Finally scored a deal on a used Innuos Zen Mk3—wow. That inky black background is to die for. The soundstage and imaging are slightly better than the Rivo+, and the Sense app is superior.  Highly recommended.

Very interesting.  Being able to get a nice used Zen for around $1500 these days seems a bit of a steal to me.  Congrats!

Thank you, @soix. Although it’s used, its performance justifies the price. Its articulate low end is very weighty. I assume it’s already fully broken in, so I’m going to put it in my primary rig and do some more serious listening and a side-by-side comparison with the Rivo+. I want to hear how wide and deep this thing can drive the soundstage in my main setup.
